My Purple Sweatshirt Story
When it comes to my clothes I am particularly fond of my purple sweatshirt. It is actually the reason why I converted my favorite color from yellow to purple. One summer, my favorite Aunt sent me the sweatshirt for my birthday gift, it was purple. It was custom made with my name in the back embroidered in gold. It looked so pretty and a lot of people complimented me because the color looked good on me. I was so happy about all the attention I got that I had to get more purple sweatshirts for myself.
How I Got My Purple Sweatshirt
My Aunt was fond of sending me clothes from time to time. She is in to fashion herself and she has no daughter yet so she treated me as if I was her own. She was a shopaholic who worked as a writer at a fashion magazine and loved to go to thrift stores and places with great discounts to find rare clothing and accessories. So I was not surprised when she sent me the purple sweatshirt. What surprised me though was that it was custom made.
I read the letter my aunt wrote to me that she has now found the joys of online shopping. She fell from the stairs a few weeks ago and broke her leg and complained in her last letter that she would not be able to go to the mall sale that was scheduled that week. She said she saw the purple sweat shirt that was trimmed with gold online and loved it instantly. She even liked the fact that she can have it customized, so she got me one for my birthday.
I was not really overjoyed about the sweatshirt since I would have preferred yellow, but it did look good! There were not many girls that wear a purple sweatshirt in school anyway, so I decided to wear it the next day.
Why I Love My Purple Sweatshirt
So I went to school with my purple sweatshirt on. My friends were shocked since they never really saw me wearing other colors aside from yellow and white. They told me that the color becomes me and that it brought out the green in my eyes. They even squealed in envy when I turned my back to show them that my name was embroidered in gold at the back of the purple sweatshirt. They instantly wanted to know where I got it. They looked disappointed when I told them that my aunt got it for me – knowing that my aunt lived out of town. Of course they could get a purple sweatshirt online but I was not about to tell them that.
